Dinosaur Land Children's Museum-- Kids Cooking Classes and Kids Art Classes

Date: Meets every Friday starting January 2, 2026
Time: 2:00 p.m. -3:00 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. - 4:15 p.m.

Cost: $15 per class or $50 a month (which includes both the cooking and art class)

LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Dallas – Homeschool Month

Date: January 2–30, 2026 (Monday–Friday only)
Time: During regular weekday hours
Cost: $12 per person
Location: Grapevine (Grapevine Mills)
Description: Homeschool Month features hands-on LEGO® activities connected to engineering, problem-solving, physics, and math. No group minimum required. Proof of homeschooling required. Tickets must be purchased online in advance. Excludes New Year’s Day and Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

 

River Legacy Science Center – Nephology: The Study of Clouds

Date: Monday, January 5, 2026
Time: 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Cost: $25 per student
Location: Arlington
Description: Students learn about cloud types, formations, and how weather affects wildlife. Activities include observing a rain cloud in a jar and creating a cloud viewer. No refunds for absences or cancellations.

 

Kimbell Art Museum – Pictures and Pages / Fotos y Libros

Date: Tuesday, January 6, 2026
Time: 10:30–11:30 a.m.
Cost: Free (registration required)
Location: Fort Worth, Kahn Building
Description: Stories and creative play for ages 4–6 with flexible learning options in English, Spanish, or both.

 

Texas Discovery Gardens – Homeschool Day: Slimy Salamanders

Date: Thursday, January 8, 2026
Time: 1:00–3:00 p.m.
Cost: Included with general admission ($12/adults, $6/kid, members free)
Location: Dallas
Description: Students will learn about salamanders and create slime to take home in this hands-on homeschool program.
